Shastra Poojan Celebrated at Historic Tapobhumi Lalivav Math

Udaipur: As part of its annual tradition, the historic Tapobhumi Lalivav Math witnessed a vibrant Shastra Poojan ceremony on Thursday morning, led by P.P. Mahamandaleshwar Shri Hariomsharan Dasji Maharaj. The event also saw the installation of new five-colored Dharma flags in all temples within the Math premises, and besan modaks were offered to the Kumbh Hanuman idol, followed by a ceremonial aarti.

Mahamandaleshwarji emphasized the spiritual path of selflessness, stating that one who aligns the soul with the welfare of all beings attains inner peace, following the path of Lord Ram, whereas those seeking worldly pleasures and ego gratification follow the path of Ravana. He highlighted that Ram’s remembrance continues to bring bliss and spiritual delight.

On the significance of Vijayadashami (Dussehra), he explained that the day represents the conquest of the ten inner vices, including ego, anger, lust, greed, attachment, fear, sorrow, and worry. He urged devotees to conquer these inner enemies and also overcome external challenges, citing historical examples like Shivaji’s strategic use of Dussehra as a “self-evident muhurta” for heroic action.

Mahamandaleshwarji further noted that the evening period between sunset and nightfall is particularly auspicious for spiritual and virtuous deeds, drawing parallels to Lord Ram’s victory over Ravana and the symbolic triumph of righteousness over vices.
