The event was organized under the joint aegis of Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, the Transport and Road Safety Department, District Police, and Aadhar Foundation, with the objective of spreading awareness about road safety and saving lives.

Focus on Awareness Through Education

Addressing the gathering, GMCH CEO Mr. Rishi Kapoor emphasized the importance of instilling road safety awareness and civic sense among children at an early age. He advocated for the inclusion of road safety and traffic rules in school curricula, stating that habits such as wearing helmets, using seat belts, and following traffic regulations should be developed from the foundation years.

He added that many developing countries demonstrate better compliance with traffic norms, and if society collectively becomes more responsible toward personal safety, road accidents can be significantly reduced.

Culture Meets Cause

Representing Aadhar Foundation, Narayan Chaudhary informed that the programme began with the popular road safety song “Itni Safety Humein Dena Data”. This was followed by engaging street plays, puppet shows, dance performances, singing, and other cultural acts centered on road safety themes.

A key highlight of the event was the innovative approach of explaining serious issues such as helmet use, seat belts, overspeeding, and overloading through entertaining and creative presentations, making the message impactful and easily understandable—especially for children.
