Udaipur. The Department of Pathology at Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, in collaboration with the Udaipur Society of Pathologists, successfully organized the two-day zonal conference “Geetanjali PathTalk 2026” on February 14 and 15.
The theme of this year’s conference was “Emerging Trends in Diagnostic Pathology: What’s New, What’s Relevant, and What Lies Ahead.”

The conference featured in-depth scientific deliberations on the use of both basic and advanced technologies in the diagnosis of cancers affecting various organs. Experts elaborated on precise and rapid diagnostic approaches for gastrointestinal, breast, lung, hematolymphoid, and brain malignancies, highlighting recent advancements in the field.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Ankit Agrawal, Executive Director of the Geetanjali Group, stated in his address that “PathTalk 2026” reflects the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, research, and continuous professional development. He emphasized that the integration of molecular diagnostics, digital pathology, artificial intelligence, and precision medicine has brought transformative changes to diagnostic pathology, making its role in patient care more central and significant than ever before.
He also mentioned that “PathTalk 2026” was organized alongside the ongoing cultural fest “Synapse 2026,” symbolizing the institution’s spirit of unity, culture, and holistic development.
Among the distinguished speakers, Dr. Sumit Gujral from Tata Memorial Hospital delivered an insightful session on hematolymphoid malignancies. Dr. Tripti Pai discussed advancements in lung and breast cancer diagnostics, Dr. Subhash Yadav spoke on gastrointestinal and gynecological cancers, and Dr. Ayushi Sahay presented the latest diagnostic perspectives in brain tumors.
The conference was organized under the leadership of Organizing Chairperson Dr. Geeta Mukhiya, Co-Organizing Chairperson Dr. Manisha Jain, and Secretary Dr. Poonam Vayke. They expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Geetanjali Group, Mr. J.P. Agrawal, Executive Director Mr. Ankit Agrawal, faculty members, and the administrative team for their wholehearted support.
A total of eight scientific sessions were conducted over the two days, featuring research paper and poster presentations. Live slide teaching sessions for emerging pathologists were a special highlight. Outstanding research contributions were recognized with research awards.
Pathologists, researchers, and medical students from Rajasthan, Gujarat, and other states participated enthusiastically. The organizing committee extended heartfelt thanks to all guests, speakers, and participants.
