Seminar on Gujarat Entertainment and Media Industry Concludes Successfully in Ahmedabad

A seminar on the Gujarat Entertainment and Media Industry was recently organized in Ahmedabad by Gujarat Entertainment and Media Industries at the campus of Gujarat University. The event was held in collaboration with **Western India Film and TV Producers Association> (WIFPA), Mumbai and the **Services Export Promotion Council> (SEPC), a unit under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

The seminar witnessed the participation of government officials, film industry veterans, producers, artists, technicians, and students from Gujarat University. The discussions focused on the growth and future prospects of the entertainment and media sector in Gujarat.

The Gujarat Government’s cinema and tourism policy, which aims to promote film production in the state, was highlighted during the event. The policy offers financial incentives, infrastructure development, and employment opportunities for youth, making Gujarat an attractive destination for filmmakers.

Prominent speakers including Jayantilal Gada, Abhay Sinha, Sandeep Patel, Netri Trivedi, Abhishek Shah, and Abhishek Jain shared valuable insights on opportunities and challenges in the entertainment industry.

The seminar was led by Abhay Kumar Sinha, the chief organizer, along with Sangram Shirke. While speaking on the occasion, they cited the success of the Gujarati film **Lalo> as an example and expressed confidence that the Gujarati film industry will achieve new heights in the coming years.

Students of Gujarat University were encouraged to explore opportunities in filmmaking and media. **Hirachand Dand> also shared his views on the future of the entertainment industry.

The seminar also featured discussions on several important topics including the development of the Gujarati film industry, film production challenges, government subsidies, the role of writers and directors, and issues related to cinema halls in Gujarat.

Gujarati film star **Hitu Kanodia> and the entire team of the film Lalo attended the conference along with other artists.

Members of the WIFPA delegation present at the event included Senior Vice President Anjana Sharma, Honorary General Secretary Dinesh Ashiwal, Joint Secretary Chandni Gupta, Dharmendra Mehra, Honorary General Secretary of Film Makers Combine and **Film Federation of India> representative Amit Kumar Gupta, Treasurer of Film Makers Combine Dr. Prahlad Khandare, Treasurer Chanda Patel, Akhil Kotak, Executive Committee Member and Gujarat Office Manager Hitesh Anand.
