Udaipur, Hindustan Zinc’s Zawar Group of Mines organized a special workshop on technological advancements in Heavy Earth Moving Machinery under the aegis of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS). The event, held at the Executive Club, Zawar Mines, aimed to promote innovation, operational excellence, and the highest standards of safety in mining operations.
The workshop witnessed the participation of senior officials from DGMS, including R.T. Mandekar (DDG-DGMS), J.P. Verma (DMS-DGMS), Sandeep Shrivastava (DMS-DGMS), Vinod Rajk (DMS-DGMS), Tom Mathew (DMS-DGMS), Sanket Kumar (DDMS-DGMS), Sameer Saurabh (DDMS-DGMS), K. Vijay Kumar (DDMS-DGMS), and Tammalla Vasu (DDMS-DGMS).

During the workshop, participants discussed a wide range of crucial topics such as enhancing safety standards in Heavy Earth Moving Machinery, adopting collision avoidance systems, best practices in OEM maintenance, and integration of automation and digital technologies in underground mining equipment.
The sessions also covered regulatory compliance, DGMS approval procedures, and standardization of safety mechanisms to ensure world-class operational practices.
