Rahul Bhatnagar Tasked with the Evaluation of Nagaland Zoological Park

*Udaipur, December 6:* The Central Zoo Authority, under the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, has appointed Mr. Rahul Bhatnagar, former Chief Conservator of Forests and a member of the Indian Forest Service (IFS), to undertake the evaluation of the Nagaland Zoological Park. Mr. Bhatnagar, currently a member of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), and with a distinguished tenure as the Chief Forest Conservator in Udaipur, has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting a comprehensive assessment and submitting a detailed report on various facets of the Zoological Park.

In a letter sent by Mr. Sanjay Shukla, the Secretary of the Authority, it is stated that Mr. Bhatnagar has been appointed as an evaluator with the objective of providing accreditation under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. The letter outlines the specific mandate for Mr. Bhatnagar, urging him to meticulously assess the diverse elements of the Zoological Park and present a thorough report.

This evaluation holds significance in ensuring compliance with wildlife conservation norms and enhancing the overall functioning and conditions of the Nagaland Zoological Park.
