ARMY DESERT CORPS CELEBRATED ISLAMGARH FATEH DIWAS 52 YEARS OF VICTORY IN 1971 WAR

Jaipur: As part of commemoration of Konark "Vijay Diwas", Islamgarh Fateh Diwas was celebrated at Eklinggarh Military Station, Udaipur from 6th December to 8th December 2023.

            To mark the 52 years since victory over Pakistan in 1971 in the Jaisalmer/ Desert Sector. These celebrations were a tribute to our soldiers who displayed indomitable spirit & sacrifice during the capture of Islamgarh Fort in 1971 war.

 

            Indian Army paid homage to the fallen heroes of the war by laying wreaths at Yudh Smarak at Eklinggarh Military Station, Udaipur. A bust of Havildar Dayanand Ram, Veer Chakra (Posthumous) was unveiled at Eklinggarh Military Station, Udaipur as a tribute to the fallen hero.

 

             As a part of outreach programme, Indian Army troops also interacted with Veer Naris & War Veterans of 1971 war wherein as a solemn gesture of gratitude, Indian Army extended its appreciation to Veer Naris & felicitated the War Veterans during the celebrations.
