Jaipur: In a significant meeting of the **National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCSL)**, held on Thursday at **RK Puram, New Delhi**, several key decisions were taken to promote **Sindhi language, literature, and culture** globally. The meeting was chaired by **Dr. Mohan Manghnani**, Vice President of NCSL, and attended by **Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani**.
### Extensive Cultural and Educational Programs Planned
The council resolved to organize:
* **One international event**
* **Five national-level events**
* **Five state-level programs**
* **100 local cultural events**
In addition to this, the council will conduct **skill development camps**, **coaching sessions for civil services and other competitive exams**, and **workshops in schools and colleges** to increase youth engagement with Sindhi heritage.
### Observance of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day
The meeting also included a decision to observe **Partition Horrors Remembrance Day** on **August 14** across the country, a commemoration initiated by **Prime Minister Narendra Modi**. Events will also be held to help preserve and connect people with **Sindhu (Indus) culture**.
### Review and Improvements in Sindhi Education Programs
Key educational measures discussed included:
* Timely **conduct of Sindhi language exams**
* Efficient **evaluation of answer sheets**
* Prompt **declaration of results**
* Timely **distribution of certificates**
These measures are aimed at ensuring that students face no hurdles in pursuing higher education or employment due to administrative delays.
Given the **expanding scope of the council’s activities**, the meeting also resolved to **request the Union Education Minister for the allocation of an additional office space** for NCSL.
### Strong Emphasis on Youth Engagement
Addressing the gathering, **Shri Vasudev Devnani** emphasized the urgent need to **generate interest among the younger generation** in **Sindhi language, literature, and culture**. He underlined the importance of preserving this unique cultural identity through proactive and consistent efforts.
He praised **Prime Minister Narendra Modi** for elevating the stature of India’s diverse cultural heritage on the global stage and for initiatives such as **International Yoga Day**, which has gained worldwide recognition.
Shri Devnani further called for **serious efforts to organize Sindhi programs at international, national, state, district, and local levels**, ensuring structured support for the growth of the language and culture. He also stressed the importance of executing all examination-related tasks in a time-bound manner to prevent any disruption in students’ academic or professional journeys.
