#### Celebration of 150 Years of “VandeMataram” at Jaipur Military Station

Jaipur, To commemorate 150 years of the iconic patriotic song ‘VandeMataram’, grand celebrations were organised across the length and breadth of Sapta Shakti Command. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of all Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), Soldiers and school children at various military stations including Jaipur, Bathinda, Hisar, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Kota, and at the historic Asafwala War Memorial (Fazilka) and Nagi War Memorial (Sri Ganganagar).

At Jaipur Military Station, Lieutenant General Harbinder Singh Vandra, Chief of Staff, South Western Command, led the gathering of all ranks at the Sapta Shakti Command Lawns, where the song “VandeMataram” was sung in unison, reverberating with patriotic fervour. Similar events were simultaneously held across all military stations under the Command, symbolising unity, pride and respect for the nation.

The collective rendition of “VandeMataram” by soldiers and students alike reflected the timeless spirit of the song, written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875, which continues to inspire generations with its call for devotion to the motherland. The event paid tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage and the spirit of nationalism that binds the Armed Forces and citizens together.

The celebrations concluded with the reaffirmation of commitment by all participants to uphold the ideals of unity, integrity and service to the Nation is truly embodying the spirit of “VandeMataram."
