Jaipur: The Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Vasudev Devanani, known nationally and internationally for his innovative initiatives, organized a unique program in the Assembly on Friday to celebrate International Women’s Day. In collaboration with the Rajasthan Pravasi Foundation, the event honored women serving in diverse fields, including state-level female MPs, legislators, administrative officers, police personnel, and other professionals. The Speaker extended greetings and best wishes to the mothers, sisters, and daughters of Rajasthan.

Speaker Devanani emphasized that women are the power that illuminates homes, strengthens society, and enhances the nation’s pride. He urged women not to consider themselves or their daughters as weak and highlighted Rajasthan’s rich legacy of female bravery, sacrifice, devotion, and courage. He referred to great women of Rajasthan’s history such as Rani Padmini, Pannadhay, Hadi Rani, and Meerabai as inspirational examples whose courage and devotion continue to guide society.

Devanani also noted the significant role of Rajasthan’s women in the Indian freedom struggle and emphasized that even today, women in the state excel in politics, administration, police, sports, science, arts, and entrepreneurship, bringing recognition to the state and the nation. He stressed that Indian culture regards women as the source of strength and creation, and both society and governance must ensure opportunities, safety, and respect for them. He affirmed that the Rajasthan Assembly will continue to innovate to enhance women’s recognition and participation.
