Eye Care Service is a Form of Spiritual Practice: Vasudev Devnani

Jaipur: Vasudev Devnani, Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, inaugurated the 150th free eye medical camp organized by Ashoka Foundation at Shri Nrusingh Temple by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Addressing the gathering, Devnani said that such health camps play a vital role in the field of social service. Through eye care camps, people from underprivileged and economically weaker sections receive free check-ups, consultation, and treatment, which is a commendable initiative. He emphasized that eye care service is a form of spiritual practice.

Devnani also offered prayers at the temple, wishing for the happiness and prosperity of the state.

He further stated that true and lasting change in society does not come solely from government policies or schemes, but through collective efforts driven by selfless service, dedication, and a sense of responsibility and humanity among individuals. When society becomes aware and actively participates in service, only then does the nation become strong, prosperous, and value-driven.

Calling the 150th camp not just a milestone but an important stage in a journey of service, he said it inspires everyone to keep the flame of service alive and to extend help to more people.

He added that if seen deeply, eye care service is not merely a social activity but a spiritual pursuit. When someone regains their vision, they do not just see the external world again, but also rediscover their inner self, the meaningful dimensions of life, and the infinite grace of God. In such moments, service and spirituality become one.

Devnani also expressed gratitude to the doctors, volunteers, and supporters present at the event, appreciating their efforts as a source of inspiration for society.
