Congress Has Once Again Exposed Its Anti-Development Face: Madan Rathore

Jaipur: BJP Rajasthan State President Madan Rathore strongly reacted after the Lok Sabha debate today, saying that the Congress Party has once again exposed its anti-development stance by blocking important bills related to national interest.

He particularly held Congress responsible for the delay in passing key legislations, including the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, stating that the party’s actions reflect its opposition to women empowerment.

Rathore said that by not supporting the constitutional amendment bill related to Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam in the Lok Sabha, Congress and its allies have betrayed millions of women in the country. He said the bill was not just legislation, but a historic step toward granting 33% reservation to women in Parliament and state assemblies, ensuring their equal participation in decision-making.

He added that had the bill been passed, it would have been a milestone in empowering women politically. However, Congress and its allies, driven by narrow political interests, denied this opportunity. He claimed that the opposition’s voting against the bill shows that their priorities are political gains rather than women’s empowerment.

Rathore further alleged that these bills were crucial for women empowerment, social justice, and overall development, but Congress created unnecessary obstacles due to political motives. He said Congress has a history of disrupting parliamentary proceedings instead of contributing constructively to development.

He also accused Congress of opposing several major national decisions in the past, including the abrogation of Article 370, the Triple Talaq law, the Ram Temple construction, surgical strikes, and other national security measures.

He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing rapidly, and the government is committed to the welfare of all sections of society. He added that Congress’s approach is unfortunate and shows its lack of seriousness toward national development.

Rathore appealed to the people of the state to recognize this behavior and reject negative politics. He reiterated that the BJP remains committed to development, good governance, and public welfare, and will continue to raise public issues strongly in Parliament.

The statement was released by BJP media in-charge and city district media representative Dr. Seema Champawat.
