Thanks to increasing awareness, the Shine India Foundation facilitated the donation of corneas from approximately 200 pairs of eyes in the Hadoti region just two months before the end of the year. In comparison to the previous year, the organization has already collected eye donations from around 200 noble souls this year. It's important to note that in 2022, the organization had arranged for a total of 203 pairs of eye donations throughout the year.
On the last Sunday, the Shine India Foundation was informed about the demise of Mahendra Kumar Jain, a beneficiary of their eye donation program. Jain's son, Narendra Jain, suggested arranging the eye donation procedure, which was performed promptly by the I-Bank team. Jain's other two sons, Dinesh and Ravi, expressed their deep reverence for their father's eye donation at the last moment.
The second eye donation was initiated after Dr. Kulvant Gaur, the President of the Shine India Foundation, received news about the passing of Mahendra Kumar Jain. His son, Narendra Jain, expressed his family's intention to proceed with the eye donation at a suitable time, and the entire family facilitated the procedure without delay. The eye donation procedure took place at their residence in Nayapura.
Following this pattern, last Monday, Sanjeev Singhvi's mother, Mrs. Ratan Kanwar Singhvi, of Tilak Nagar, Chhawani, Kota, generously agreed to donate her eyes after sudden demise, thanks to the explanation provided by Sunita Garg, a member of the Shakti Lions Club, Kota.
