Worldly Worries Distance the Soul from God, Spiritual Reflection Brings One Closer to the Divine: Raseshwari Devi Ji

Udaipur: Under the aegis of Braj Gopika Seva Mission, the second day of the nine-day “Pancham Ved Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran Gyan Rahasya Mahotsav” witnessed a spiritually uplifting atmosphere at Ashish Vatika in Hiran Magri Sector-13. Renowned spiritual preacher Raseshwari Devi, a leading disciple and propagator of Jagadguru Kripalu Ji Maharaj, delivered an insightful discourse on the deeper spiritual dimensions of life.

The session began with ceremonial lamp lighting and the traditional Bhagwat Aarti by distinguished guests. Expressing gratitude towards the people of Udaipur, Raseshwari Devi Ji recalled her first visit to the city in 2006 and said that even after 20 years, the devotion and affection of the audience remain unchanged.

During her discourse, she explained that the Shrimad Bhagwat is not merely a religious scripture or collection of stories, but a powerful practical guide capable of eliminating sorrow from its roots. Drawing a scientific comparison between medicine and elixir, she stated that medicine cures illness after it occurs, whereas an elixir strengthens the body so illness never arises. Similarly, Bhagwat acts as a spiritual elixir that protects human beings from worldly negativity and emotional suffering.

Narrating an intriguing episode involving Sage Shukdev and King Parikshit, she said that when the Bhagwat discourse was about to begin, celestial gods led by Indra arrived carrying the nectar of immortality and proposed exchanging it for the divine “katha-amrit” of Bhagwat. However, Shukdev Ji rejected the offer, saying that the gods’ nectar could only extend physical life, while the nectar of Bhagwat grants divine fearlessness and spiritual liberation.

Addressing the youth, Raseshwari Devi Ji emphasized that life’s true purpose is not limited to earning wealth or fulfilling material needs. Real success, she said, lies in self-realization, introspection, and living with wisdom and spiritual awareness.

The atmosphere turned deeply devotional when she led the congregation in soulful renditions of devotional verses composed by Kripalu Ji Maharaj, including “Baat Nihari Tihari Pal-Pal…” and “Shyama Shyam Naam Roop Leela Gun Dhama…”. The entire gathering became immersed in divine emotion, with many devotees moved to tears.

The event concluded with a grand Maha Aarti of the Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran. The sounds of conch shells, cymbals, and devotional chants filled the Ashish Vatika premises, leaving devotees with a profound sense of peace and spiritual bliss.

The Bhagwat discourse series is being held daily from 7 PM to 9 PM at Ashish Vatika, Hiran Magri Sector-13, Udaipur, and will continue until May 25.
