### Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa Chairs Review Meeting of Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan

Udaipur,  Deputy Chief Minister Shri Premchand Bairwa chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan on Saturday at the Zila Parishad Auditorium in Udaipur. The meeting assessed the progress of the campaign and discussed the roadmap for enhancing public participation in water conservation and environmental protection.

During the session, Shri Bairwa praised Udaipur district’s remarkable achievements under the campaign, commending the administration for securing the second rank in the state. He was welcomed by district officials upon his arrival, and a detailed presentation was given by Zila Parishad CEO Riya Dabi, who highlighted that over 5,000 events had been organized in the district so far, engaging nearly 700,000 people.

Commendation and Call for Continued Efforts

The Deputy Chief Minister congratulated the entire district team for their dedicated efforts and encouraged them to intensify their initiatives in the coming days. “The Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma has launched this campaign with a visionary approach. Vande Ganga is not just a campaign but should become an integral part of our lifestyle,” he said. He stressed the importance of adopting water conservation and environmental protection as daily habits to truly fulfill the objectives of the campaign.

Shri Bairwa directed all departments to maximize public involvement and transform the campaign into a mass movement to safeguard water resources for future generations.

Department-wise Review and Strategic Instructions

In the meeting, Shri Bairwa interacted with officials from the Forest Department, PHED, Panchayati Raj, Urban Local Bodies, Education, Water Resources, and Electricity Department. He reviewed efforts related to water source conservation, public awareness activities, plantation targets under the Hariyalo Rajasthan initiative, and preparations for the monsoon season. Emphasizing disaster preparedness, he instructed departments to work in close coordination during the upcoming monsoon.

Restoration of Traditional Water Bodies

Shri Bairwa also directed the officials of Panchayati Raj and Urban Local Bodies to identify neglected stepwells (bawdis) and wells across urban and rural areas. He instructed them to create an action plan for their renovation and rejuvenation to revive traditional water sources.

Oath for Water and Environment Protection

Towards the end of the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister administered a pledge to all officers, reaffirming their commitment to the goals of the Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan.

The meeting was also attended by Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasiya, Udaipur City MLA Tarachand Jain, Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, Divisional Commissioner Ms. Pragya Kewalramani, District Collector Namit Mehta, ADM Administration Deependra Singh Rathore, ADM City War Singh, Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash, IAS Trainee Srishti Dabas, Superintending Engineer (Watershed) Atul Jain, and officials from various departments.
