Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch Will Launch a National Movement to Protect the Land, Water and Forest Rights of the Adivasi from the State –Corporate Nexus : Brinda karat 

Udaipur:  Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch will launch a national movement to protect the land, water and forest rights of the Adivasi from the State –Corporate Nexus. This was said by the Vice President of Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch former Member of Parliament Brinda Karat in a Press Conference at Udaipur, Rajasthan. She arrived in Udaipur to participate in the National Coordination Committee Meeting of the Manch. Brinda Karat said that the double engine BJP government of Rajasthan is stealing away the land, water and forest rights of the Adivasi to provide all land and mineral resources to Adani and Ambani and their likes. She quoted the example of soe thirty families from Kotda tehsil of Udaipur whose huts were demolished and women and children beaten by drunk police men to force them to vacate that land where they had been living for decades simply because some dam was to be built. The President of the Manch Jitendra Chaudhary, leader of the opposition in Tripura state assembly and former minister, Government of Tripura said that the NDA government is against the tribal people. The population of the tribals in India according to 2011 census is 8.6 percent but the fund allotted for tribes I 2026 budget is oly 2.5 percent. Even in last budget Rs. 7000 Crores is unutilized out of the total outlay for the tribes. He said that all laws like Forest Rights Act 2006 which protect the rights of the tribes are being diluted and being replaced by new laws like Forest Conservation Act which serve the interest of the corporate. Both Brinda Karat and Jitendra demanded that in the census survey the word ADIVASI should be added in the options of religions available in the census form. They said that  RSS and the allied organizations supported by the government are threatening the Adivasis who have opted for other religions or want to be identified as Adivasis only. The national convenor Pulin Baskey, former Member of Parliament said that wherever there is double engine government the tribes are under attack. He said that uniform civil code will also be an attack on tribal identity. Comrade Duli Ram said that the definition of the Aravalli given by the court will enable the mining mafia to destroy this life line of Rajasthan. He said that the Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch will fight tooth and nail against any such attempt.
