Udaipur | Setting an example of social harmony, service, and cultural values, the Chaudhary Mewara Kalal Samaj Seva Sansthan is organizing its 21st mass wedding ceremony on February 21, 2026. The event will be held at Satyanam Farm in the Pratapnagar area (Megha Housing Scheme), where 19 couples will tie the knot.
At a preparatory meeting, President Lokesh Choudhary announced that, for the first time in the community’s history, weddings will be solemnized with a symbolic token amount of just one rupee. In previous mass weddings, a fee was collected from the bride and groom. This year, the entire expense of the ceremony will be borne by members of the community. Organizers have ensured that every family feels as though the wedding is taking place in their own home. Each bride will be assisted by a female volunteer and each groom by a male volunteer to provide full support throughout the ceremony.
On this occasion, the official invitation card for the mass wedding was also unveiled. As per tradition, the first invitation was offered to Lord Ganesha at the Bohra Ganesh Ji Temple, seeking blessings for the success of the event.
General Secretary Advocate Banshilal Choudhary informed that various committees have been formed to ensure smooth and grand arrangements. Responsibilities have been assigned to different coordinators so that all arrangements are executed efficiently. Presidents of all community units have been authorized to distribute invitation cards in their respective areas and have been provided with the necessary materials.
According to the program schedule, a grand “Bindoli” procession of all couples will be taken out on the morning of February 21, followed by the traditional wedding rituals at Satyanam Farm. A special community feast (prasad) will also be organized for all guests in attendance.
The committee further stated that complete arrangements for accommodation and meals have been made for couples and their families arriving from outside, ensuring that no one faces any inconvenience.
This mass wedding ceremony is not just an event but a living example of unity, service, and social responsibility within the community. The initiative by the Chaudhary Mewara Kalal community is certain to be recorded as a golden chapter in its social history and will serve as an inspiration for future generations.
