Ramanik and Vihaan Gokharu Crowned Udaipur District U-7 Chess Champions

Udaipur: The “Udaipur District Under-7 Selection Chess Tournament 2026 (Open)” was successfully organized under the aegis of the Udaipur District Chess Association at Mikado Kids School and Mikado International School, Shobhagpura. Young and talented players from across the district participated enthusiastically in the event.

In the boys’ category, a closely contested competition saw Ramanik Singh Saluja secure first place with 4 points. Viraj Dark and Neel Ranka scored 3 points each, finishing second and third respectively. Other notable participants included Ridhit Hingar, Gaurik Lodha, Dev Matta, Manit Kaushik, Jash Gakhreja, Daivik Rathi, and Gyan Jain, who also delivered commendable performances.

In the girls’ category, Vihaan Gokharu secured first place with 3 points. Kimayra Chhabra stood second with 2 points, while Davisha Ranawat finished third. Other participants such as Adhira Chaudhary, Aira Choksi, and Sanvi Suhalka also showcased their skills.

The tournament was officiated by chief arbiters Richin Jain and Vikas Chandela. The chief guest was Aryamitra Chess Club president Bhupendra Sen.

District Chess Association secretary Inder Kumar Prajapat informed that based on the results, Ramanik Singh Saluja and Viraj Dark (boys category), along with Vihaan Gokharu and Kimayra Chhabra (girls category), have been selected for the state-level Under-7 chess championship.

He added that such competitions play a vital role in enhancing children’s intellectual development and competitive spirit. The enthusiasm of parents and participants was highly appreciated.
