Collective Yoga Protocol Rehearsal Held at Govardhan Sagar Pal

Large participation of yoga practitioners under the 50-Day Yoga Countdown; “Amrit Dhara” distribution campaign launched

Govardhan Sagar: As part of the ongoing 50-day Yoga Countdown Programme leading up to International Yoga Day 2026, a collective yoga protocol rehearsal and public awareness programme was enthusiastically organized on Sunday morning at the scenic and popular tourist destination, Govardhan Sagar Pal in Udaipur. The event witnessed active participation from yoga enthusiasts, students, women, senior citizens, and representatives of various social, educational, and healthcare organizations.

The programme was jointly organized by the District Administration, Ayurveda Department, Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Pacific University, Vipra Foundation, Sukripa Foundation, Oswal Yuva Parishad, Arth Diagnosis, Aishwarya College of Education, Swasthya Setu CA Circle, Govardhan Sagar Morning Group, Arogya Vihar Dham, Ahuti Seva Sansthan, and the International Human Rights Security Organization.

During the event, participants practiced various yoga asanas, pranayama, and yoga nidra under the Common Yoga Protocol. Trainers also guided attendees on the correct techniques and health benefits of yoga. Conducted amidst a calm and natural environment, the programme inspired citizens to adopt a healthy and positive lifestyle.

Assistant Director Bhanu Kumar Jain stated that several yoga activities are being organized across the district at public locations with the aim of transforming International Yoga Day into a mass movement. He emphasized that yoga is not merely a form of exercise but the foundation of a healthy life and can help prevent numerous diseases when practiced regularly.

Yoga Coordinator and Assistant Nodal Officer Vaidya Shobhalal Audichya said that continuous activities are being conducted under the 50-day Yoga Countdown Programme to popularize yoga and integrate it into daily life. He added that practicing yoga at natural locations like Govardhan Sagar enhances mental peace and health awareness among people.

Free “Amrit Dhara” Distribution Campaign Launched

During the programme, a free distribution campaign of the Ayurvedic medicine “Amrit Dhara” was launched to help citizens protect themselves from extreme heat and heatwave conditions. People were also educated about Ayurvedic remedies for issues such as heatstroke, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach-related ailments.

Vaidya Shobhalal Audichya informed that this special initiative has been started keeping public health and safety in mind. Additionally, free distribution of Amrit Dhara will also continue during dispensary hours at the Government Ideal Ayurveda Dispensary, Sindhi Bazaar, so that more citizens can benefit from the initiative.
