Key Meeting of Meghwal Community in Dhikli

Udaipur | A joint meeting of Meghwal Samaj Uparla Girwa, Meghwal Samaj Reform and Renovation Committee, and Meghwal Samaj Vikas Yuva Sangathan was held at Baba Ramdevji Temple in Dhikli to plan the upcoming mass wedding ceremony scheduled for April 20 on the auspicious occasion of Akha Teej.

The meeting was chaired by Ganesh Lal Meghwal, President of Meghwal Samaj Uparla Girwa. Chief guests included Ramlal Meghwal (Manwakheda), President of the Meghwal Samaj Reform and Renovation Committee, and Sohan Meghwal (Devdo Ka Kheda) from the Meghwal Samaj Vikas Yuva Sangathan. Prominent community members, village representatives, panch leaders, and youth from Uparla and Nichla Girwa regions attended in large numbers.

### Five Couples Registered; Preparations Gain Momentum

During the meeting, a detailed plan was prepared to ensure the successful organization of the mass wedding ceremony to be held in Udaipur on April 20. Organizers informed that five couples have already registered for the event.

As per the registration guidelines, a contribution of ₹31,000 has been fixed for the groom’s side and ₹25,000 for the bride’s side. Additionally, the wedding committee will present a traditional gift (“Daaycha”) to each bride.

### Youth Extend Warm Welcome

Several important community issues were also discussed during the meeting. Members of the Uparla Girwa Meghwal Samaj Youth Organization warmly welcomed and honored the office-bearers and guests.

### Next Meeting on February 22

A follow-up meeting will be held on Sunday, February 22, regarding the ongoing renovation work of the community dharamshala at Jhameshwar Mahadev Temple. Registration for the mass wedding will also continue during this meeting.

Members of the Meghwal community from Mewal, Chhappan, Girwa, Mewar, Sadak Line, and across the district have been invited to attend. An income and expenditure report of the dharamshala renovation work will also be presented.

There is a strong sense of enthusiasm within the community regarding the mass wedding ceremony, and large-scale preparations have already begun to make the event a grand success.
