Demand for Resolution of Scholarship Issues Raised with Chief Minister

Udaipur | Pankaj Kumar Sharma, General Secretary and Spokesperson of the State Congress Committee, has urged Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to take immediate action to resolve serious issues in the distribution of scholarships for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, SBC, EWS, and BPL categories.

Sharma stated that the separate release of central and state scholarships, delays in payments, and a large number of pending applications have caused financial hardship for thousands of students. In many cases, even after approval, the full scholarship amount is not disbursed on time, increasing the burden of fees and adversely affecting students’ education.

He further highlighted that the complexity of the online application process, technical issues in biometric verification, insufficient scholarship amounts for OBC students, and the lack of a clear scheme for the EWS category have worsened the situation. The problem is especially critical for students pursuing professional and technical courses.

Sharma has demanded that scholarship funds be released in a lump sum, pending applications be cleared promptly, timely payments be ensured, and technical issues be resolved immediately. He also called for an increase in scholarship amounts for OBC students and the implementation of an effective scheme for the EWS category.
