‘Balak Ram’ Showers Flowers on 1,111-Meter Long Paat; Maharaj Kumar Harit Raj Singh Mewar Performs Aarti

Udaipur | The Hanuman Janmashtami festival at Shri Manshapurn Hanuman Temple, Badnor Haveli, organized under the guidance of Mandal Guardian Bhupesh Mehta and Shri Manshapurn Mitra Mandal, concluded with a unique blend of devotion and reverence. During the grand 1,111-meter-long Paat procession, the city was immersed in the spirit of Ram, with thousands of devotees witnessing this historic moment and receiving spiritual blessings.

A deeply moving moment occurred when the procession returned to the temple. A child dressed as Lord Shri Ram from Ayodhya showered flowers on Hanuman Ji’s Paat, leaving all devotees emotionally overwhelmed. Seeing this, other devotees in the procession also began showering flowers on the child representing Shri Ram, filling the temple premises and narrow lanes with chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” Along the route, arrangements for cold drinks, refreshments, and fruits were made by devotees and various organizations.

Devotees in Yellow Attire and Traditional Sarees Create a Sea of Faith
The procession offered a beautiful glimpse of tradition. Men were dressed in yellow kurtas and white pajamas, while women wore colorful chundad and leheriya sarees, carrying mangal kalash. The procession featured elephants, horses, camels, palanquins, and special tableaux of Lord Shri Ram and Hanuman Ji, captivating the crowd. Artists also showcased their valor through akhara performances.

Maharaj Kumar Harit Raj Singh Mewar Performs Maha Aarti
On this auspicious occasion, rituals began at 6:00 AM with Maharudrabhishek followed by Panchamrit Abhishek at 7:30 AM. At 5:00 PM, a grand Chhappan Bhog was offered, prepared by 101 artisans under the supervision of Raju Bhai Seth, who bathed in milk and wore pure white attire during preparation. The festival’s climax was the Maha Aarti at 7:15 PM, where Maharaj Kumar Harit Raj Singh Mewar, son of Dr. Kunwar Lakshraj Singh Mewar, performed the aarti and received blessings. A special offering was also presented to Shri Manshapurn Hanuman Ji by the palace authorities.

Cultural Programs and Grand Mahaprasadi
Under cultural programs, artists from Vrindavan performed live enactments of Sita Swayamvar, Dhanush Yagya, and Ram’s wedding at Hemraj National Vyayamshala. Prior to this, devotees were mesmerized by the Braj-style Lathmar and floral Holi celebrations. The festival concluded with a grand Mahaprasadi, attended by thousands of devotees who partook in the sacred feast.
