Udaipur – Rajasthan Government’s Principal Secretary (Medical & Health and Medical Education), Mrs. Gayatri Rathore, conducted a surprise inspection of Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital, which is affiliated with RNT Medical College, Udaipur, on Friday.
During the inspection, she closely reviewed the emergency unit, intensive care unit, and various wards. She assessed the hospital’s medical arrangements, the number of OPD and admitted patients, and the facilities available. The Principal Secretary also reviewed the progress of various state health schemes and obtained detailed information from officials. She inquired about the postgraduate courses being conducted at the medical college and directed that the number of PG seats be increased in the future.
She also discussed the arrangements of the super-specialty hospital and the women’s hospital. During the visit, she informed that work on the women’s hospital will begin soon, which will provide better facilities for female patients.
She instructed the Principal and Superintendent to ensure effective monitoring of ongoing construction works in the hospital so that they are completed on time with quality standards.
On this occasion, Medical College Principal and Controller Dr. Rahul Jain, Superintendent Dr. R.L. Suman, Nursing Superintendent Jitendra Bhatnagar, and other officials were present. Nursing Union President Praveen Charpota and Satveer Singh submitted a memorandum highlighting various issues faced by nursing staff, to which she assured positive action.
