Complaints Heard with Sensitivity, Instructions Issued for Prompt Resolution

Udaipur | The district-level public hearing was held on Thursday at the Collectorate Mini Conference Hall under the chairmanship of District Collector Gaurav Agarwal. During the hearing, public grievances were addressed with seriousness and sensitivity, with more than 100 complaints related to various departments being received.

As per the instructions of District Collector Shri Agarwal, a slight modification was introduced in the public hearing system this time. A two-tier grievance redressal mechanism was implemented. The complaints were categorized into two groups. Copies of department-related grievances were provided to the concerned district-level officers of the respective departments. On the spot, the concerned officers heard the complainants and initiated necessary action to provide possible relief. The District Collector also personally took feedback from the complainants.

Similarly, grievances related to sub-division areas were addressed through video conferencing, where the District Collector interacted with Sub-Divisional Officers and issued directions for their resolution. This initiative aimed to ensure on-the-spot resolution of issues from rural areas in an effective manner.

During the hearing, the District Collector instructed all officials to resolve grievances with full sensitivity, transparency, and timeliness so that citizens may receive prompt relief. He emphasized that public hearings are not merely formalities but a strong platform for resolving public issues. Present on the occasion were Additional District Collector (Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, Girwa SDM Avula Saikrishna, along with officials from various departments. All SDMs and block-level officers of the district joined the proceedings virtually.

Vigilance Committee Meeting
Prior to the district-level public hearing, a Vigilance Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Gaurav Agarwal. The Collector reviewed the progress of cases registered in the committee and issued necessary directives. Additional District Collector (City) Jitendra Ojha and other officials were also present during the meeting.
