Cluster-Level Volleyball and Chess Selection Trials Begin at Navodaya Vidyalaya Mavli

Udaipur: The three-day cluster-level selection sports competitions for volleyball and chess commenced on Thursday at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mavli. The event includes selection trials for students from the Udaipur cluster, with participation from 19 schools.

A total of 95 boys are taking part in the volleyball selection trials, while 38 boys and 18 girls are participating in the chess trials.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Police Inspector Mavli Ashok Kumar as the chief guest, while SBI Branch Manager Vikram Meena attended as the special guest. Principal Ghanshyam Meena welcomed the guests. After the welcome song and flag hoisting ceremony, students from various schools participated in a march past.

Principal Meena provided information about cluster, regional, and national-level sports competitions and encouraged students to demonstrate true sportsmanship. Students Manasvi Paliwal from JNV Mavli and Veer from JNV Banswara administered the sportsmanship oath to the participants in the presence of the chief guest. The guests emphasized the importance of playing in the spirit of sportsmanship and encouraged students to bring pride to themselves and the nation through sports.

The opening matches of Under-19 volleyball and chess were officially inaugurated by the chief guest. The vote of thanks was delivered by Vice Principal Ranjana Chaudhary.
