Road Safety Awareness Program organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Lakhawali

Udaipur: A road safety awareness program was organized on Friday at Government Senior Secondary School, Lakhawali, under the joint initiative of Rajasthan Women Teachers Training College and Aadhar Foundation.

During the program, Aadhar Foundation founder Narayan Jat and trainee teachers from the college educated students about the importance of road safety, the latest motor vehicle rules, and various traffic signs in detail. Students were also motivated through slogans to remain alert and responsible while on the road.

Highlighting the role of students in ensuring road safety, it was emphasized that allowing minors to drive is a punishable offense. Awareness was spread about not permitting children under 18 years of age to drive and the importance of wearing helmets while riding vehicles.

Information about the “Rahgir Yojana” was also shared, under which a person who helps an injured victim in a road accident is rewarded with an incentive of ₹25,000.

The program was attended by college faculty members Dr. Jagruti Parikh and Dr. Ankur Kapoor Tuli, along with school principal Dr. Manjulata Parihar and other staff members.
