Udaipur: With the launch of the first phase of India’s Census 2027, the district administration in Udaipur has become fully active regarding self-enumeration for house listing and housing census. In this regard, a special self-enumeration workshop and camp was organized at the Zila Parishad auditorium, where officials and employees participated and registered their details through the online portal.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Principal Census Officer and District Collector Gaurav Agarwal, with a strong focus on practically demonstrating the self-enumeration process and enabling immediate registration. Under the leadership of District Census Officer and ADM (Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore, officials and staff of the Collectorate initiated the process by completing their self-enumeration through the online portal. During the session, Deputy Census Officer and Joint Director (Statistics) Puneet Sharma, along with experts, provided detailed information about using the portal, required details, and necessary precautions.
Portal Open Until May 15
In the first phase of the census, the self-enumeration portal for house listing and housing census will remain open to the public from May 1 to May 15. Citizens can conveniently submit their information from home during this period. After this, fieldwork will be conducted from May 16 to June 14, 2026.
The self-enumeration facility will be available through a dedicated web portal (se-census.gov.in). This portal will remain open to the public for 15 days prior to the start of door-to-door data collection by enumerators. It is available in English, Hindi, and 14 regional languages. The head of the family can complete the self-enumeration process in approximately 15–20 minutes by entering family details. A self-enumeration identification number will be sent to the registered mobile number or email. During the enumerator’s visit, this unique ID must be shared for verification and final submission of the details.
Appeal by District Collector
District Collector Mr. Agarwal has appealed to all government employees and the general public to actively participate in the self-enumeration process. He also emphasized using only the official portal and advised citizens to remain cautious of any cyber fraud.
