Commander Brajesh Kumar Mishra Assumes Charge of 1 Raj Naval Unit NCC

Udaipur: In a significant administrative change for NCC cadets in Udaipur and southern Rajasthan, Commander Shakeel Ahmed, Commanding Officer of 1 Raj Naval Unit NCC, has been transferred to the Indian Navy’s Hydrographic Survey Unit in Kochi, where he will undertake important operational responsibilities.

Succeeding him, Commander Brajesh Kumar Mishra, a seasoned officer of the Indian Navy, has assumed charge as the new Commanding Officer (CO) of 1 Raj Naval Unit NCC.

Commander Brajesh Kumar Mishra is a native of Gopalganj district in Bihar and an alumnus of the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. Commissioned into the Indian Navy in 2012, he has served in several key appointments throughout his distinguished naval career.

A qualified Gunnery Specialist, Commander Mishra has served as Gunnery Officer aboard frontline warships such as INS Kora and INS Trishul. Prior to assuming his new assignment, he was serving as the Officer-in-Charge of the Maritime Operations Centre (MOC), Kochi. He also holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Naval Weapon Systems from INS Dronacharya.

After taking charge, Commander Mishra stated that his primary objective is to further strengthen discipline, leadership qualities, character development, and the spirit of national service among NCC cadets in Rajasthan, particularly in the Udaipur region. He expressed confidence that the cadets of the unit would continue to make significant contributions to the Indian Armed Forces and nation-building in the future.

Meanwhile, officers, NCC staff members, and cadets of the unit expressed their gratitude to Commander Shakeel Ahmed for his successful tenure and extended their best wishes for his new assignment. They also warmly welcomed Commander Brajesh Kumar Mishra to the unit.

With his extensive naval experience, Commander Mishra is expected to provide valuable guidance to NCC cadets, enhancing their naval training, leadership development, and understanding of military life.
