Awareness Programme Organized on International Day Against Drug Abuse

Udaipur: On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse, an awareness programme on drug de-addiction was organized at Arogya Seva Sansthan, Dakan Kotda. The event focused on educating young people about the harmful effects of substance abuse and inspiring them to give up addiction and contribute towards building a healthier society.

Addressing the gathering, Harshit Kumar Pancholi, Social Security Officer from the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, explained in detail the adverse effects of drug addiction. He emphasized that substance abuse severely impacts an individual's physical, mental, social, and economic well-being. He particularly urged the youth to stay away from drugs and adopt a healthy, disciplined, and positive lifestyle.

On the occasion, Ameyatma Krishna Das of the Hare Krishna Movement shared his thoughts on building a drug-free society through spiritual living, moral values, and positive thinking. He encouraged young people to embrace good values, self-discipline, and a purposeful way of life.

Narpat Singh of Arogya Seva Sansthan stated that the objective of the programme was to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse, educate youth and the general public about its harmful consequences, and inspire the community to work towards creating a healthy, safe, and drug-free society.

At the conclusion of the programme, all participants took a pledge to stay away from drugs and to encourage their families and communities to support the vision of a Drug-Free India.
