Free Skill Training at UCCI Helping Youth Secure Employment

Udaipur: The Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) is successfully conducting free skill development programmes at its Vocational Training Centre, including Solar PV Technician training and upskilling under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, creating better employment opportunities for young people.

During a visit to the training centre, UCCI President Sandeep Bafna interacted with the trainees and extended his best wishes for their bright future. He encouraged them to pursue the training with dedication, discipline, and hard work so that they could enhance their skills and secure better employment and self-employment opportunities. He also urged the participants to make the most of the training programmes.

On the occasion, Participants' Handbooks were distributed to all trainees.

The Vocational Training Centre is currently offering three major skill development programmes, providing free training to 12th-pass and graduate youth in the Logistics, Finance, and Solar PV Technician sectors. The programmes are designed to equip participants with industry-relevant skills and connect them with assured employment opportunities.

In addition, under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana of the Government of India, a seven-day free upskilling programme is being conducted for technicians already working in the solar sector or those with relevant work experience. Eligible participants attending the programme are also provided with a government incentive of ₹500 per day.

The training programmes are being implemented by TÜV Rheinland. On the occasion, Regional Manager Lokendra Pandya and Centre In-charge Tej Kumar Sharma briefed the participants about the various training courses, career opportunities, and the benefits of skill development. They also appealed to more youth to take advantage of these free training programmes to build successful careers.
