Udaipur: A review meeting of the Panch Gaurav Development Programme was held at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Collector Gaurav Agrawal, focusing on preparing a detailed and result-oriented action plan for the development of Udaipur district.

The Collector reviewed proposals under all five components of the programme and directed officials to prepare comprehensive roadmaps with clear targets and measurable outcomes. Under “One District, One Sport,” he emphasized strengthening swimming talent identification and training programmes to prepare selected players for national and international competitions.

Highlighting eco-tourism development, he suggested promoting sustainable activities around Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar without disturbing the natural environment. He proposed facilities like eco-trails, cycling tracks, and improved parking arrangements.

The Collector also stressed livelihood generation through processing and marketing of custard apple and mahua products, promotion of marble-granite products, and solutions to industry-related issues like slurry disposal.

Officials from various departments, including Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Khanna and ADM Deependra Singh Rathore, attended the meeting.
