Udaipur:A crucial meeting of the Council of Deans (COD) was held at Mohanlal Sukhadia University under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.P. Saraswat, where several significant decisions were taken to enhance administrative efficiency, academic quality, and campus security.
Emphasizing transparency and timely execution, Prof. Saraswat directed officials to strengthen the examination system, ensure timely conduct of exams, and declare results without delay. Strict action was also approved in response to recent irregularities in question papers.
According to university spokesperson Dr. Kunjun Acharya, the proposal to purchase two Bolero vehicles for confidential examination work was approved. The need for civil and electrical engineers along with technical staff to improve the functioning of the estate office was also acknowledged.
In a major step toward campus safety, the university’s CCTV cameras will now be integrated with the Rajasthan Police’s Abhay Command and Control Center, significantly strengthening the security framework.
The meeting also approved the payment of ₹21.93 lakh against pending dues related to inventory left by IIM Udaipur. New revised rates for the Golden Jubilee Guest House were cleared, which are expected to increase university revenue.
Under the guidance of the Vice-Chancellor, a proposal to provide guest house facilities at government-approved rates was also sanctioned. Additionally, decisions were taken to review SUMS data, introduce general fee seats in the MSc Microbiology program, and address various administrative and academic matters.
Discussions were also held on issues related to JRF/NET scholars, continuation of existing norms for issuing NOCs to ITEP institutions, organization of Codest/Freshers’ events, and classes conducted by SFAB consultants.
The decisions taken under Prof. Saraswat’s leadership are expected to bring greater efficiency, improved security, and enhanced academic standards to the university.
