Udaipur  – The Pacific Medical College and Hospital's Ear, Nose, and Throat Department, in collaboration with the Mevad Research Foundation, organized the inauguration of the AIIMS National Midterm Congress, led by Padma Vibhushan Professor L.H. Hiranandani. The event was illuminated by PMCH Chairman Rahul Agrawal, CEO Sharad Kothari, Vice-Chancellor of the Pacific Medical University Dr. A.P. Gupta, Dean Dr. M.M. Mangal, Dr. S.P. Dubey, Dr. Sudhakar Baidh, Dr. Vinay Vijendra, and chaired by Richa Gupta. The Secretary of the conference, Dr. S.S. Kaushik, elaborated that during the three-day conference, renowned ENT surgeon Dr. Vinay Vijendra of Bangalore discussed innovative techniques for operations on various temporal bone regions, focusing on live temporal bone dissection.

The conference also included live temporal bone dissection and hands-on temporal bone dissection, with the active participation of several experts in the field, including Dr. K.K. Sharma, Dr. Preetosh Sharma, Dr. Vinay Agrawal, Dr. Vikram Singh Rathore, Dr. Nitin Sharma, Dr. Sushant Joshi, Dr. Manish Tyagi, Dr. Hemendra Bamania, Dr. Kanishk Mehta, Dr. Vishal Bhatnagar, Dr. Bhanu Verma, Dr. Prerana Mandobra, Dr. Babita Jaya, Dr. Anamika, Dr. Ravina Bothra, Dr. Rekha, Dr. Reddy, and Dr. Ashok Kumar. The conference covered various complex procedures in ENT, such as cochlear implantation, cartilage mastoidectomy, stapedotomy, cochleostomy, MRM, and other intricate surgical techniques through different technical sessions.

Richa Gupta, Chairperson of the conference, highlighted that the first session on Saturday would feature live cochlear implant surgery by Padmashree Dr. J.M. Hans, stapedotomy by Dr. Ramalingam, facial surgery by Dr. Deepak Haldipur, tympanosclerosis by Dr. H. Vijendra, revision endoscopic DCR by Dr. S.P. Dubey, and live surgery for carotid body tumor by Dr. Sanjay Agrawal. The conference's second and third sessions would include panel discussions, guest lectures, and discussions on various technical subjects such as allergic rhinitis, endural tympanoplasty, plexus and endoscopy, among others.

The event also featured a quiz competition, a final round, and a comprehensive exploration of new techniques in surgical management of head and neck cancer, OPM management, ENT OPM management, robotic surgery in ENT, and current anatomical changes in ENT-related new techniques.
