Sri Ganganagar: Under the Gram Rath Campaign being conducted across the district to effectively spread awareness about the Rajasthan Government’s public welfare schemes in rural areas, enthusiastic and engaging programs were organized in various gram panchayats on Monday. Villagers expressed happiness while learning about the schemes and availing their benefits.
On Thursday, publicity activities through LED vans were carried out in villages including Dabla, Haripura, Karadwali, Malsar, 19 NP, Bajuwala, and 6 JKM in Raisinghnagar Assembly constituency; Rajiyasar Station, Rajiyasar Village, Mokalsar, Sawantsar, Deidaspura, and Singrasar in Suratgarh Assembly constituency; 6 RB, 39 RB, Tamkot, 3 RBA, 1 PS, and Fakirwali in Srikaranpur Assembly constituency; 6 ZWM, 2 KM, 3 DD, 9 DD, and 6 DD in Anupgarh Assembly constituency; Mirzewala, Daulatpura, and 11 Q in Sri Ganganagar Assembly constituency; and Lalgarh Jatan, Chak Kera, and Takht Hazara in Sadulshahar Assembly constituency.
During the Gram Rath Campaign at Daulatpura, Joint Director of the Agriculture Department Dr. Satish Sharma, Deputy Director of the Horticulture Department Mrs. Preeti Garg, and Assistant Director Mr. Sushil Kumar Sharma informed villagers about departmental schemes.
As soon as the Gram Rath vehicles reached the villages, great enthusiasm was witnessed among the villagers, and large crowds gathered at the venues. During the program, key schemes of 13 departments were showcased through digital presentations. Villagers also listened to a message from Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, in which he appealed to people to take maximum benefit of government schemes.
Local folk artists presented information about the schemes through songs, bhajans, and street plays in an interesting and engaging manner. Their performances not only entertained the villagers but also explained the benefits of the schemes and the application procedures in simple language.
Departmental officials distributed informational guides and publicity materials related to various schemes among the villagers to raise awareness. To encourage public participation, a special suggestion box was placed along with the Gram Rath, where villagers shared their suggestions and feedback.
Officials said that the main objective of the campaign is to ensure that information about government schemes reaches even the last person in society so that they can avail the benefits.
Under the Gram Rath Campaign, villagers, including farmers and livestock owners, are being informed about schemes related to agriculture, horticulture, agricultural marketing, animal husbandry, dairy, fisheries, cooperatives, water resources, industries, energy, revenue, panchayati raj, and rural development departments.
Each Gram Rath vehicle has been equipped with LED screens for audio and video presentations of the government schemes.
