Hindustan Zinc Launches Common Service Centre in Bichhri Village

Udaipur: Hindustan Zinc, as part of its Samadhan Project in the operational area of Zinc Smelter Debari, inaugurated a Common Service Centre (CSC) in Bichhri village. The centre will provide farmers and rural residents access to a range of government services at affordable rates. It will also facilitate registration and online applications for various social welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments, helping ensure that eligible beneficiaries can access these benefits more easily.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Pawan Patidar, BAIF Rajasthan; Ruchika Chawla, Head – CSR, Zinc Smelter Debari; Deputy Sarpanch Lokesh Paliwal; Dharma; Babu Singh; Chunnilal, Board of Director, GMFPO; and other dignitaries. Around 60 farmers from nearby villages participated in the event. Notably, nearly 90 percent of the participants were women farmers, reflecting the growing participation and awareness of rural women in accessing government schemes and digital services.

During the programme, farmers were informed about the services available through the Common Service Centre and various government welfare schemes. The centre will enable rural residents and farmers to access information about government schemes, submit online applications, obtain necessary documents and avail themselves of various digital services.

Increasing access to digital services in rural areas is an important step towards inclusive development. The Common Service Centre will reduce the need for villagers and farmers to travel to distant government offices for basic services. It will help save time and resources while making the process of accessing government schemes more convenient and efficient.

Through the centre, farmers and rural families will receive support in registering for government schemes, submitting online applications, accessing required documents and availing government services through digital platforms. The initiative is expected to strengthen digital awareness among the rural community and simplify the process of accessing government welfare programmes.

Farmers attending the programme welcomed the establishment of the Common Service Centre in the Debari cluster and described it as a useful facility for the village community. They said that the availability of such services locally would save time and resources while making it easier for residents to connect with government schemes and services.

The initiative marks an important step towards empowering farmers and rural communities, improving access to government services, strengthening digital inclusion and enabling eligible beneficiaries to derive maximum benefit from government welfare schemes.
