Over 100 Patients Benefit From Free Epilepsy Camp at Geetanjali Hospital

Udaipur — A two-day free epilepsy awareness and treatment camp concluded successfully at Geetanjali Hospital, where more than 100 patients from Udaipur and neighboring districts received consultations and advanced diagnostic services from neurologists.

The camp was led by Dr. Anees Zukerwala, Head of the Department of Neurology, and his team, who conducted detailed clinical evaluations and provided expert guidance on epilepsy diagnosis and treatment.

As part of the initiative, eligible patients received free electroencephalogram (EEG) tests, while MRI and CT scans under the epilepsy protocol were offered at up to 50% discounted rates.

Hospital officials said patients identified as requiring epilepsy surgery will soon be able to undergo the procedure at Geetanjali Hospital under the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAAY), subject to eligibility.

Dr. Zukerwala said epilepsy can be effectively managed with timely diagnosis, appropriate medication and regular follow-up treatment. He urged the public to avoid myths and misconceptions surrounding the condition and advised anyone experiencing seizures to seek immediate consultation with a neurologist.

Patients and their family members appreciated the hospital's free specialist services and well-organized arrangements during the camp.

The hospital administration said it plans to continue organizing similar public health camps to improve access to quality specialty healthcare and promote greater awareness of neurological disorders in the community.
