The Department of Science, Sir Padampat Singhania
University (SPSU) organized an insightful seminar on “Space Science to Spirituality”, bringing together perspectives
from space science and spiritual wisdom to inspire students and faculty towards
holistic learning and personal development.
Hon’ble President Dr. Sanjay Sinha, FRSA, welcomed the esteemed guests and
highlighted the importance of integrating scientific knowledge with spiritual
wisdom to foster a balanced and holistic approach to education and life.
The first keynote session was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Bhuwan Joshi, Udaipur Solar
Observatory, Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Udaipur, on “Exploring the Sun, the Moon, and Beyond:
India’s Journey in Space Exploration.” He highlighted India’s
significant achievements in space research and its growing contribution to
global space exploration.
The second session featured Shri Madan Govinda Das, who spoke on “Spiritual Science versus Material Science.” His session explored
the relationship between scientific advancement and spiritual values,
encouraging participants to reflect on the need for balance between material
progress and inner development.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and felicitation of the guest speakers. The seminar
offered a unique platform for meaningful dialogue between scientific
exploration and spiritual inquiry, leaving participants with valuable insights
into the possibilities of integrating knowledge, innovation and inner growth. Prof. (Dr.) Prasun Chakrabarti, Pro-President,
Prof. (Dr.) Amit Goel, Dean, School of
Engineering and Sciences, along with faculty members, staff,
distinguished guests and students, actively participated in the seminar.
