Udaipur: Usha Rani, a retired school principal and distinguished Hindi litterateur, has been honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation by the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) in recognition of her remarkable contribution to literature and education.

The Certificate of Appreciation, presented on behalf of WZCC Director Ashwin Dalvi, acknowledges Usha Rani's lifelong dedication to both teaching and literary pursuits. Born on December 11, 1949, she successfully balanced her career as an educator with an enduring commitment to creative writing, making a significant contribution to Hindi literature.

Over the years, more than 100 of her short stories have been broadcast by All India Radio (Akashvani) through its Bikaner and Jaipur stations. In addition, several of her literary talks have been aired under the popular Yuv Vani programme, earning widespread appreciation from listeners.

Usha Rani has authored more than 638 short stories, which have been published in leading Hindi newspapers and literary magazines across the country. Her works have appeared in renowned publications such as Shivira, Mukta, Sarita, and several other literary and educational journals, reaching a wide readership.

Her writings are widely appreciated for their thoughtful portrayal of social issues, human values, women's empowerment, cultural ethos, and the realities of everyday life. Through her simple yet impactful style, she has consistently highlighted themes that resonate with readers across generations.

Recognizing her exceptional dedication to education and literature, the West Zone Cultural Centre noted that Usha Rani's work continues to inspire young writers, educators, and readers alike. Her invaluable contributions have earned her a distinguished place among Rajasthan's respected literary figures and educationists.
