Dr. Lokesh Gupta, the Dean of the college, explained that "Diiksharambh" is derived from the Sanskrit word "Diksha," symbolizing commitment and transformation. The term 'Arambh' means beginning. According to the National Education Policy, this mandatory course aims to facilitate students in learning from each other's life experiences, helping to integrate students from diverse backgrounds, and familiarizing them with the academic framework of college and university operations. It will also foster the development of life and social skills, social awareness, ethics and values, teamwork, leadership, creativity, and more. Additionally, it will assist in identifying traditional values and indigenous cultures.

Dr. Gupta highlighted that this college is the first Dairy and Food Technology institution in the state to organize such an event. He added that it is the oldest Dairy and Food Technology college in Rajasthan, contributing to national service by preparing highly skilled professionals since 1982. Alumni from this college now hold high positions in leading enterprises within the dairy and food sectors. These former students regularly gather to provide career guidance to their junior colleagues, thereby upholding the college's proud tradition.

Co-ordinator and program in-charge, Dr. Nikita Vadhawan, stated that Diiksharambh is much more than just the beginning of an academic program for new students. Students enter the college with hopes for a bright future, believing that new horizons of knowledge and leadership will open for them. The aim was to help students feel comfortable in a new environment while providing comprehensive information about the curriculum, careers, and placements in an enjoyable atmosphere. The program also informed students about the changes brought by the National Education Policy 2020 to maximize their benefits. Students toured the college's laboratories, infrastructure, and resources.

Experts were invited daily to provide in-depth knowledge on various subjects. To enhance students' creativity, various programs were conducted daily, requiring mandatory participation from each student. To foster a spirit of competition, awards were distributed on the closing day.

In his presidential address, Dr. S.K. Moreover, it aims to familiarize students with the institution's culture and ethos. Through this program, students also learn to build cordial and respectful relationships among themselves and with faculty members.
