Reporting Adverse Effects of Medications Essential for Prevention

Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy held the National Pharmacovigilance Week from September 17 to 25, 2024, featuring various competitions and informative sessions on the necessity of reporting adverse effects of medications and their prevention. 

On the occasion of National Pharmacist Day, a pharmacist rally was conducted at the Geetanjali University campus, with esteemed guest Mr. Mayur Rawal, Registrar of Geetanjali University, in attendance. He highlighted the significant role of pharmacists in research and their vital contributions to various healthcare departments. 

Dr. Mahendra Singh Rathore, the head of the institution, emphasized that it is the duty of pharmacists to raise awareness about their responsibilities within the health department and the proper use of medications.

During the program, prizes were awarded to all winning students, who were honored with mementos and medals. 

Mr. Ankit Agarwal, Executive Director of Geetanjali University, and Professor S.K. Luhadia, Vice Chancellor, extended their best wishes to the attending faculty and students, appreciating the importance of the event.
