Memorandum to Chief Minister Regarding Irregularities in NEET UG 2024

Kota - The New Kota Hostel Association and students have submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Additional District Collector, highlighting major irregularities in NEET UG 2024. General Secretary Rajiv Kumar stated that the NEET UG 2024 exam, conducted by NTA on May 5, 2024, was leaked the night before on May 4. Copies of the leaked paper were found in possession of several individuals, leading to significant irregularities in the results.

Rajiv Kumar emphasized that these irregularities have resulted in injustice to the 24 lakh students who appeared for the exam. The first evidence of these irregularities was reported by the Patna police, who filed a report on the matter. NTA ignored all protocols and prematurely declared the results, arbitrarily awarding grace marks to many students. For the first time in the history of such a significant medical exam, 68 students scored 720 out of 720 marks, causing an unusually high cutoff, which has prevented many honest and hardworking students from being selected.

Due to these irregularities, many students and their parents have lost faith in the examination process. If such issues are not rectified by NTA, it will jeopardize the future of diligent students across the country. Dr. Amit Gupta mentioned that some coaching students in Kota have demanded an investigation into the matter and guidance to address the grievances of the affected students.
