Udaipur : A division-level workshop on the Safe Motherhood Assurance Program was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Joint Director Dr. Prakash Chandra Sharma. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Shankar Bamnia informed that medical officers, nursing officers, LHVs, and DPMs from the labor rooms of Udaipur and Banswara divisions attended the workshop. Dr. Tarun Chaudhary from the state level and Dr. Ashok Aditya, RCHO of Udaipur district, were also present.
Dr. Sharma, the Joint Director, emphasized the importance of the national-level programs "LaQshya" and "SUMAN," stating that both are crucial for improving maternal and child health. He highlighted the need to be vigilant and ensure that healthcare facilities are of the highest standards. Dr. Tarun Chaudhary stressed the importance of enhancing services in delivery rooms to reduce maternal and child mortality rates and strictly adhering to infection control protocols.
Dr. Ashok Aditya, RCHO, mentioned that in Udaipur district, CHCs in Kherwada, Mavli, and Prasad have been certified under the national-level LaQshya program, and efforts are being made to prepare CHCs in Gogunda, Tidi, and Jhadol for certification. He also noted the reduction in maternal and child mortality rates in Udaipur, stating that similar results can be achieved across the entire division.
