Sri Ganganagar,Governor Hari Bhau Bagde conducted a series of inspections and interactions in the border region on Friday. He began by reviewing a BSF check post and then engaged with beneficiaries of central and state government schemes at the Hindumalkot Gram Panchayat building.
During his visit, Governor Bagde emphasized the critical role of education in preventing and eradicating poverty. He advocated for creating a conducive learning environment in border villages and ensuring access to education along with sports facilities and other amenities to make learning enjoyable for children.
Following his inspection of the BSF post, Governor Bagde discussed security and other issues with officials. He also visited a railway station dating back to the pre-partition era and reiterated the need for basic amenities in border villages to avoid inconveniences for the residents.
In his interaction with beneficiaries, Governor Bagde inquired about the PM Housing Scheme, pensions, drip irrigation systems for water conservation, and the availability of tap water under the Jal Jeevan Mission. He urged officials to ensure that all welfare schemes reach the gram panchayats in the border areas.
Governor Bagde also visited the Government School in Hindumalkot, where he met archery players and discussed the importance of focused effort in achieving success, drawing an analogy from the story of Arjuna aiming at the fish's eye in the Mahabharata. He inspected the mid-day meal kitchen and spoke with beneficiaries of the PM Housing Scheme and MGNREGA, reviewing the houses built under these schemes.
Additionally, Governor Bagde toured the Ganganagar Sugar Mill Limited in Kaminepura, Karanpur, where he met with sugarcane farmers to discuss the challenges they face. He highlighted various government schemes aimed at supporting farmers and emphasized that these benefits should reach the intended recipients.
The Governor's visit was attended by local dignitaries, including Sadulshehar MLA Gurveer Singh Barad, District Head Kavita Regar, District Collector Lokbandhu, SP Gaurav Yadav, former Minister Surendra Pal Singh TTT, former MP Shankar Pannu, Sharan Pal Singh, former MLA Ashok Nagpal, and former Chairperson of the Municipal Council Shyam Dhariwal.
