The 15th National Voters' Day was celebrated on Saturday at the Government Girls College, Shri Ganganagar, under the theme “Nothing Like Voting, We Will Surely Vote.” During the event, individuals and organizations excelling in election-related activities were honored with awards.
District Election Officer and Collector Dr. Manju extended greetings on National Voters' Day and emphasized the significance of every voter in a democratic nation like India. She highlighted the consistent progress of the country through adherence to democratic principles and the Constitution. Expressing joy over the increase in the number of new voters, she urged all eligible citizens, especially those who recently turned 18, to ensure their inclusion in the voter list and participate fully in the electoral process.
District Council CEO Mr. Subhash Kumar administered the oath for Voters' Day and de-addiction. The event featured a quiz on voter awareness, followed by the distribution of EPIC cards to new voters. Individuals such as BLOs, supervisors, first-time voters, transgender voters, specially-abled voters, and organizations contributing to election processes were felicitated for their outstanding contributions.
The program was graced by Sub-Divisional Officer Shri Ranjit Kumar, ACM Mrs. Swati Gupta, CDEO Shri Girjeshkant Sharma, Principal of Government Girls College Mrs. Poonam Setia, SWEEP Coordinator Shri Raman Asija, and other dignitaries, including trainee RAS officers.
