10 Medals Including 5 Gold in National Grappling Championship

Udaipur, [Date] – Tushar Mehta, Secretary of the Udaipur Grappling Wrestling Committee, shared that the Mewar grapplers, representing the Rajasthan team, showcased exceptional performance in the recently concluded 4th National Grappling Wrestling (Wrestling) Championship, organized by the Wrestling Federation of India under the approval of the Government of India. The championship took place in Haridwar, where the Mewar grapplers brought home a total of 10 medals, including 5 gold.

Mangalilal Salvi won a gold medal for the second time in the Gi-No-Gi event (Gi - similar to judo uniform, No-Gi - similar to wrestling uniform). Jatin Patel also secured a gold medal in Gi-No-Gi, while Shwetank Joshi won a gold in the Gi event. Payal Mehta earned a silver in the Gi event, and Riya Asvani claimed a bronze in Gi. Krishna Asvani and Harsh Jain won silver medals in No-Gi, while Kavya Jain and Yash Sharma took bronze in No-Gi. Manthan Joshi also earned a bronze medal in the Gi event.

The committee members, including Rukmini Lohar, Rinku Goswami, and teacher Tina Prajapat, warmly welcomed the victorious wrestlers upon their return to Udaipur.
