#Student Art Exhibition Awards Announced

The Takman 28 organization invited entries in April for the Dr. O.D. Upadhyay Memorial Exhibition from art students studying in the Udaipur and Banswara divisions. Secretary of Takman 28, Sandeep Paliwal, announced that approximately 100 entries were received, out of which 60 artworks have been selected for the exhibition. Student artists Khushboo Khinchi, Naina Somani, Saima Khanam, Anjali Dindor, Harsh Chhipa, Heenal Sharma, Prabhav Chhajed, Deepak Sharma, and Vibha Patel will be awarded.

The awards include six prizes of ₹5000 each and three consolation prizes of ₹2000 each. Paliwal mentioned that the jury members were renowned artists Basant Kashyap and Chhotulal Sharma. The exhibition will be held in the art gallery located in the Takman campus in the third week of July. On the inaugural day of this ten-day exhibition, a catalog will be released, and the student artists will be awarded.

Secretary Paliwal noted that the memory of the late Professor Dr. Omdutt Upadhyay, who served in the art department of Mohanlal Sukhadia University Udaipur, still resonates deeply with the art students of that era. During this event, consolation prizes will also be awarded in the names of renowned art enthusiasts from the Mewar region, including Govardhanlal Joshi "Baba," L.L. Verma, Prof. R.K. Vashistha, Ghanshyamlal Sharma, Dr. V.P. Mali, and Mrs. Vimlesh Kapoor (Kapoor Traders).
