Tiruvarur. President Droupadi Murmu, addressing the convocation ceremony of the Central University of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, emphasized that education should not remain confined to degrees or certificates. She said education must be used for the broader welfare of society and the preservation of nature.

Highlighting the opportunities of the digital era, the President noted that learning resources are more accessible than ever before. She added that the National Education Policy is based on this very principle, combining tradition with modernity. Stressing adaptability, she remarked that in an age of internet revolution and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, only those who continuously learn and adjust to changing circumstances will move forward.

President Murmu also underlined the importance of extension education, urging efforts to spread awareness and consciousness in rural communities through such initiatives.
