Kota. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa jointly inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Government Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy Integrated College at Talwandi on Thursday. Kota South MLA Sandeep Sharma was also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Om Birla said that Ayurveda and Yoga are not merely systems of medicine but represent India’s ancient lifestyle and holistic health science. He emphasized that this institution will serve as a major milestone for the Hadoti region, producing students who will contribute significantly to integrated health, research, and modern therapeutic practices.

Recalling the contributions of former MP Vaidya Daudayal Joshi, Birla said that he laid the foundation of Ayurveda in Kota, which has now evolved into a robust center of learning and research. He proposed that the college be named after him as a true tribute to his contributions and expressed gratitude to the state government for its positive response toward this proposal.

Development of Medicity in Kota
Birla further stated that the institution would promote clinical research, hydrotherapy, cryotherapy, massage therapy, and other holistic healing systems while ensuring scientific standardization of medicinal products for better quality assurance. He announced plans to develop Kota not only as a city of education and industry but also as a major hub for Yoga, Ayurveda, and Wellness.

For this purpose, 50 bighas of land have been earmarked for the establishment of an advanced Ayurveda Medicity, which will serve as a model center integrating traditional wisdom with modern research and innovation in natural medicine.
