New Delhi. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has said that in the changing global landscape, there is a need to realign the United Nations structure to suit contemporary challenges. He said that dialogue, cooperation, and rapid reforms are essential today amid war, terrorism, climate crisis, and digital risks.
Birla made this statement while addressing the first session of the 26th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World held at the India International Centre in New Delhi.

Birla said that India's spirit of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' and the Constitution's ideals of peace, harmony, and respect strengthen our global commitment. He stated that India's extensive contribution to UN peacekeeping operations and the assistance provided to 150 countries during the COVID-19 pandemic are evidence of our responsible global role.

Birla said that the discussions held in this conference for world justice, peace and stability will undoubtedly prove to be a stepping stone for humanity to move from conflict to solution.
