Jaipur: Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devanani participated in and reviewed the exhibition at the Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Summit 2026 as part of the AI Democratization Program, held under the AI Impact Summit India 2026 at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC), Jaipur. The summit focused on AI, youth, and responsible citizenship.

During the event, Speaker Devanani appreciated the use of modern technology to present Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage, including virtual 3D tours of heritage monuments. He experienced Amer Fort, Albert Hall, City Palace Jaipur, Shri Nath Ji, City Palace Udaipur, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, and Kumbhalgarh Fort virtually, gaining a detailed and immersive view.

### AI as a Crucial Governance Tool

Speaker Devanani stated that artificial intelligence (AI) is an essential tool in the present era. He emphasized AI’s significant role in governance and highlighted that state and national issues should be analyzed using AI to fully utilize its potential.

He pointed out that AI operates based on the data provided to it, and it is the responsibility of users to supply accurate, authentic, and factual information so that AI can produce reliable and useful outcomes.

### Promoting AI with Caution

Devanani noted that the Rajasthan government is promoting AI but with full caution. Teachers, students, and professionals from various fields can simplify their work and fulfill requirements efficiently using AI. Given Rajasthan’s vast geographical expanse, AI can make administrative and developmental work more efficient and effective. Academic institutions and training centers are already using AI, making it an integral part of digitalization.

The Speaker highlighted that the State Minister for Information Technology and Communication is also actively working on AI advancement. Policy decisions, regulations, and ordinances are being considered for AI governance and implementation, alongside a focus on data security. He emphasized that voice data protection is now critical, given emerging threats like misuse of voice recognition, beyond the earlier challenges of image misuse.

### Expanding AI Skills and Infrastructure

Speaker Devanani urged that entrepreneurs can enhance their skills using AI, but stressed the need for more data centers and training hubs in Rajasthan to ensure AI’s effective and proper use. He emphasized that AI should reach the general public, aiming to position Rajasthan among the leading states in AI in India.

He added that India must utilize AI in alignment with its social structure, cultural values, and national priorities, learning from countries like the US and the UK while customizing AI use for domestic needs. AI can also support new startups, but it is the collective responsibility to ensure appropriate information reaches children and the public safely.

### AI and Security

Speaker Devanani stressed that security must be paramount in AI applications, ensuring data protection and national interest. He emphasized that AI’s influence will expand across sectors, and ongoing work is essential to maximize its utility and keep pace with global developments.

### IT Park and Startup Promotion

He highlighted the recently established IT Park in Ajmer, urging entrepreneurs, innovators, and youth to connect with the park and launch startups, innovations, and technological projects from there.

The summit was held as part of the Rajasthan Digital Festival and the 10th Global Summit, organized with the support of the Rajasthan Government and hosted by TiE Rajasthan. The IT & Communication Department and I-Start also played active roles. The summit is recognized as one of the largest annual global gatherings of entrepreneurs, innovators, and policymakers.
